I recently published a post sharing my own testimony about how God has changed my life! Jesus has fulfilled the longings of my aching heart; He has wiped away my tears. His design for my life all along was that of an unmarried man concerned about the work of God.

What a wonderful testimony! What we believers forget (or fail to understand) is that God’s grace gives us the power to refrain from sin, but He doesn’t always take away the desire. We need to decide that He takes priority in over every other desire and act accordingly. I’ve been asked if I believe homosexuality is sin. I always ask if they’re referring to the activity or the orientation. There’s a huge difference between sin and temptation. Jesus was tempted, so it’s okay for us to struggle. The main thing to remember is that we don’t struggle alone.

I’d just like to say that Jesus is real and I’m sharing this post. I have a daughter that is gay. Although I know the act is wrong, I always say she has a soul and that is what I pray for. She’s 33. She was born and raised in Jesus and she says she still remembers but she lived a different life. Initially it hurt me. Now, I simply pray. Although I don’t struggle with sex or my sexuality, I struggle with worrying, shopping, and I’m sure other things. I’ve not fellowshipped in a while b/c I’m nursing school. So using that as an excuse when I know I need to NOT forsaken myself to assemble with the saints is just as wrong. It’s the obedience part that we miss as Christians. Oh I could write so much more. Jesus is real is what I’ll say. Thanks for sharing. I pray you’re deliver for this sin and every other sin b/c through Jesus we all can be made perfect. Be Encouraged!

May the Lord bless you and your daughter. I know from personal experience what the Lord can do, so never give up hope. You have encouraged me this morning. I will also pray for you and your daughter. The road can seem never ending, but Jesus is with us every step. God bless you again! Thank you so much for sharing.

That they can. God used my own experience with being gay to draw me closer to Himself. It was a painful journey at times, I won’t lie, but looking back the Lord was patient and kind even in admonishment, and it is by His power that I was delivered. I also wrote about this is the post: My Heart’s Desire. I can’t tell you how much you have encouraged me this morning. You are in my prayers.

Well praise God! That is what we are called to do. Spread the gospel, be a light, and esteem others higher than ourselves. By doing these things it strengthens us. I’m so grateful that we found each other. Continue to be encouraged!
