My Prayer Book
I have always said that I had the perfect childhood. My father was a Presbyterian minister; my mother was a housewife. My father was mostly called to small, rural churches. The manses we lived in were supplied by the church and usually had acreage, barns, and outbuildings. I have 2 sisters and twin brothers and I am the second oldest child. My parents were good people, they loved the Lord and my father was a caring, pastoral minister, no one was turned away from his door. We spent most of our lives in church, whether it was on Sunday in the usual services, family night dinners, bible school, Women of the Church, bandage rolling, or any other function that involved the church, we were there and that was without question.
