“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people” (2 Timothy 3:1-5).
This scripture keeps coming up and for good reason. It is a glaring warning to heed. It should make every one of us, especially professing Christians, at least a little uncomfortable; uncomfortable enough to cause us to self-reflect. So far, I’ve shared the foreground of some of the dreams given to me by the Holy Spirit. Now, I’m going to write about what I saw in the background.
If my dreams have been any indication, great change is drawing near, and the world will be drastically different from the one we know; our complacency will be shattered. I saw city streets empty and buildings abandoned; the population significantly diminished. I saw people who were constantly on the move; hurrying from place to place seeking shelter and provision. I suspect many of them were placing their hopes on a rapture that would come, in due time, but not as soon as they would like. My feeling is that events failed to unfold as expected, and they were caught off guard. In the world I saw, it was night even in the daytime; this was something that always struck me. The sky could be bright and sunny, yet it felt like night to me. I saw powers and principalities operating right out in the open, and I sometimes had trouble differentiating between man and demon; this filled me with the greatest dread. And from what I could tell, there were other people simply carrying on with the business of life, even though the ground was clearly crumbling beneath their feet. A few times, I noticed Satan observing me from a distance; he never dared to approach.

Yes, I believe the world will be in terrible shape as the end of time draws near. I pray the world will light up with the glory of God and people will see him as he truly is before the end. I believe these messages from God will be preached and then he will come. After the third angel speaks, Jesus comes in the clouds as he said he would.
6″Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth—to every nation, tribe, language and people. 7He said in a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water.”
8A second angel followed and said, “ ‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great,’a which made all the nations drink the maddening wine of her adulteries.”
9A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, 10they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” 12This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.
14I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, “Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.” 16So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.

I love this scripture, especially the part about the harvest being ripe. I look forward to the day when all has been completed, and we are with the Lord.

You have touched on what I feel God has revealed to me in scripture. Jesus talks about how these events MUST HAPPEN and even then it is only the beginning. Then tribulation happens, the days will be cut short otherwise no one will survive, and only then, does Christ say the angels will gather at the four corners (which I believe to be the gathering of believers.

Sometimes I think people, many well intentioned, are side tracked by fear and that fear distorts their vision.

Truth! Something God has placed on my heart has stirred how I view the “rapture”. It’s a dream formed without persecution. It’s not taking away those suffering now because there are Christians being killed as we speak. But there are also so many other Christians who look at that suffering, while we are in a stable condition, and we want the rapture. (I think because many of us are unsure, and not ready for what tribulation truly means. I know I have to really think about it in my heart.)

Wow! That’s an excellent observation. I hope you don’t mind if I borrow it! This is something God moved my heart about some time ago too.

Yes, go right ahead! For the past two years since I started blogging, I’ve thought about sharing my views on the rapture, but I didn’t want to stumble others up. However, the more I’ve been thinking about it and talking to God about it, I feel like I should share where He has led me.

I’ve written about the latter days recently. Yes, we need to heed the warnings.
