“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1).

I’ve already written about several spiritual dreams, visions, and other occurrences. A challenge with these types of encounters is the need for prayer and discernment. I must rely on the Holy Spirit for guidance and truth; otherwise, I could easily fall victim to the influence of deceptive spirits. “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1). And of course, questioning my own sanity, at times, comes with the territory as well.

The following are accounts of two spiritual dreams from some time ago. I’m certain neither was an ordinary dream, as both possessed all the usual characteristics, but unlike the others, where meanings eventually unraveled over time, these dreams still mostly puzzle me. So, I share them with a caveat. I share in the event someone reading will be given insights from above.

I dreamt that I was hovering over the Earth. Darkness covered the whole planet. I was brought in closer to the western edge of Asia Minor (Asia Minor was emphasized as opposed to modern day Turkey). Jesus was there. I couldn’t see him clearly, yet somehow I could tell he was smiling at me. Jesus bent down and drew a vertical line into the earth running north to south, and then drew three, maybe four, intersecting lines running west to east. Water, which emphasized life, in the dream, sprang out with force and filled the lines. The lines then quickly became like great rivers flowing eastward down into the Fertile Crescent and then throughout the rest of the Earth. I was left with a feeling of peace.

I dreamt that I was hovering over the solar system watching the planets orbit the sun. Then I was shown an ominous, unknown planet (or other heavenly body) with an irregular orbit. This unknown planet’s orbit was such that it had not been observable, and its path placed it passing in relation to the Earth. Unlike the previous dream, this one left me with a feeling of looming danger. Interestingly enough, a few days later, I turned on the History Channel to find one of those apocalyptic—ancient alien—type shows playing. One of the commentators spoke about a Planet X with an irregular orbit passing in relation to the Earth, I believe, every few hundred thousand years. If nothing else, the coincidence got my attention.
