“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you” (James 1:5).
Me: Father what could I have done about all the injustice in the world? What could I have done about all the suffering? These are all so much greater than me.
God: Did you bring these to me in prayer?
Me: Silence.
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you” (James 1:5).

I think we as humans sometimes forget or downplay the importance and effectiveness of prayer. God can go where we can’t and help those we can’t reach. And he helps US help those we never thought were too far away!

We all have Job moments, I think. Moments where we feel clueless and/or helpless, yet God answers us with one simple sentence. I really enjoyed this!

This is so true especially with the news stories this past week. Thanks for the great reminder to bring ALL things to Christ in prayer!
